4 months from today...
Or, 122 days is...race day!
The IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.
So how long does it take to train and prepare for a Full Ironman, which is - 2.4mile swim; 112mile bike; 26.2mile run = 140.6miles?
This answer really depends on many factors: experience, the amount of time to devote to training, personal goals and support from family, friends and co-workers.
Basically....it's a serious commitment.

I officially began my training, April 23rd.
In an earlier blog, I had mentioned about how much time and effort goes into training. So, today, I wanted to share the break down of distances covered in training thus far (this doesn't include strength and conditioning training):
Bike = 562.55 miles / Time spent: 33 hours; 25 minutes
Run = 85.08 / Time spent: 15 hours; 9 minutes
Total training miles thus far: 681.28 miles / Time spent: 66 hours; 29 minutes
With 4 months to go, there's many, many more training miles ahead of me.
Even more than my dedication to training is my commitment to raising funds and generating awareness for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Your donation can have such a positive impact to millions of patients and help LLS researchers find a cure for this horrible blood cancer.
