What inspires you?

Hello Friends,

It's been too long since my last post - I have missed you.  Juggling work, family life and training can take a lot of time, but my team and I will get better keeping our blog posts updated.  😊

If someone were to ask you, "What motivates and inspires you?" How would you respond and what would you say?

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting 2 wonderful and amazing people.  As I was sharing my mission with them, I was asked this very same question.

Meet David and Jourdan.  In the summer of 2016, they led a team on an incredible pursuit - cycling (biked) through 14 states and covering a total of 3,500 miles.  Motivated by their desire to help their charity serving adults with disabilities, they reached their fundraising goal and experienced an incredible journey of a lifetime.

To share a short excerpt from David about his reflection, he said that he "...tried something uncomfortably outside my comfort zone...pursuing bigger dreams can really be fun, even with the risk of falling short."

There's no 'one right way' to find what inspires you, but no matter where you find it, it is definitely a part of what keeps you going, especially when times get tough.

So, what inspires me? A lot of things - my husband; my family and wanting to be a good mother to my kids.  Being a good role model to my students, being a good friend, but if I had to pinpoint it, I would say that what truly inspires me is....my desire to do what seems like, the impossible.

My LLS mission is to raise, $85,000. When I share this fundraising goal with others, a lot of eyebrows are raised. For a full time working PE teacher and mother of two, that's "uncomfortably outside my comfort zone"!

I have the amazing opportunity to be a part of something truly incredible - finding a cure for blood cancers.  With faith and determination, isn't anything impossible?
